The Arena
Quicksilver came through a portal into Tokyo and immediately started running, because he always does. He crossed the city in four seconds, then stopped at a busy intersection, bored. A tall Japanese man in a long black coat and a cap was standing on the corner, perfectly still, looking right at him.
“You’re fast,” Jotaro said. Quicksilver grinned. “Fastest man alive. Well, in my universe. You wanna race?” Jotaro adjusted his cap. “No.” Quicksilver rolled his eyes. “Okay, you wanna fight? Because I can hit you about a thousand times before you blink.” Jotaro’s expression did not change. “Yare yare.”
Quicksilver vanished. Jotaro did not move.
Round One
Quicksilver hit him a hundred times in a single second, punches from every angle, so fast they blurred into a single blow. Jotaro staggered, his cap falling off. Then a purple figure burst out of his body, muscular and fierce, and caught Quicksilver’s next punch in its fist. Star Platinum.
Quicksilver stared at the giant purple spirit holding his wrist. “What is that?” Jotaro picked up his cap. “My Stand.” Star Platinum was fast, faster than any human, with perfect precision. It let go of Quicksilver’s wrist and hit him with a single punch that sent him skidding across the intersection.
Quicksilver got up, rubbing his jaw. “Okay. That’s a cool trick. But I’m still faster.”
The Turn
Quicksilver ran faster than he had ever run, so fast the cars around them appeared to freeze and the raindrops hung in the air. He came at Jotaro from behind, ready to hit him a thousand times before Star Platinum could turn around. He was faster than the Stand. He knew it.
Jotaro spoke two words. “Star Platinum.” Then, quietly: “The World.” Time stopped. Not slowed. Stopped. Quicksilver froze mid-step, his fist an inch from Jotaro’s back, his hair streaming, his expression of triumph frozen on his face. Even the fastest man alive cannot run when time itself is standing still.
Jotaro turned around slowly and looked at him. He had five seconds.
The Finish
“ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!” Star Platinum hit Quicksilver with a rush of punches in the frozen moment, dozens of blows that would all land at once. Then time resumed. Quicksilver felt every one of them at the same instant and flew backwards across the intersection, through a bus shelter, and landed in a heap.
He lay there, dazed, staring up at the sky. Jotaro walked over and looked down at him. “You were faster,” Jotaro said. “But speed is just moving through time quickly. I don’t need to move through it at all.” Quicksilver groaned. “That’s cheating.” Jotaro shrugged. “Yare yare daze.”
He offered Quicksilver a hand. Pietro took it and stood up, swaying. “Okay. Fine. You win. But you have to admit, I’m faster.” Jotaro adjusted his cap and walked away without answering. Quicksilver chased after him, talking the whole way, faster than anyone could follow, and Jotaro ignored every word.
The verdict
Jotaro Kujo wins
Quicksilver is faster than Star Platinum and lands a hundred blows before Jotaro reacts, but speed means nothing when time stops, and in those frozen seconds, Star Platinum ends the fight.

- Star PlatinumA Stand with superhuman speed, strength and precision.
- ComposureJotaro waits for the perfect moment to stop time.
How the rematch could go differently: A Quicksilver who struck so fast that Jotaro was unconscious before he could speak would win before time ever stopped.
