The Arena
Naruto Uzumaki travelled to Asgard through a space-time ninjutsu accident, landed in the middle of a feast, and accidentally ate Thor’s entire plate of boar. Thor looked at the blond ninja with the whiskers on his cheeks, chewing happily, and laughed so loudly the hall shook. “You have eaten my supper, stranger!”
Naruto swallowed. “Oh. Sorry. It was really good!” Thor stood up and hefted Mjolnir. “Then we shall settle it the Asgardian way!” Naruto grinned and cracked his knuckles. “I’ve never fought a god before. Believe it!” The Warriors Three cheered. Somewhere, Loki sighed and reached for popcorn.
They went out to the training fields, and the sky over Asgard darkened with a gathering storm.
Round One
Thor struck first, swinging Mjolnir in a blow that cracked the ground. Naruto dodged and made fifty shadow clones, which swarmed the God of Thunder from every direction. Thor laughed, spun his hammer and blew them all away in a single gust of wind. Naruto, the real one, came out of the smoke with a Rasengan.
It hit Thor in the chest and drove him back across the field. Thor stopped, touched the scorch mark on his armour, and grinned. “You hit like a frost giant!” He called down lightning, and Naruto entered Sage Mode, his eyes turning orange, sensing the bolts before they struck and dodging them all.
They fought across the fields until the grass was gone and the ground was glass.
The Turn
Thor raised Mjolnir to the sky and called down the God Blast, lightning from every realm focused into a single strike. Naruto saw it coming and reached deep inside himself. “Kurama! Now!” A giant golden fox made of chakra rose around him, and the God Blast struck the fox’s raised paws.
The lightning held for one second, two, three. The fox staggered. Then Kurama roared and pushed back, and the God Blast scattered into a thousand bolts across the sky. Thor lowered his hammer, staring at the giant fox with the blond ninja standing on its head.
“By the Allfather,” Thor said. “You have a beast inside you.” Naruto grinned. “He’s my friend.”
The Finish
Naruto combined Sage Mode, Kurama’s chakra and the Six Paths power he had received in the war. Golden chakra blazed around him, black orbs orbiting behind his back. He made a hundred clones in Kurama mode, and each one formed a Planetary Rasengan, spinning spheres orbited by smaller ones.
They hit Thor from every direction at once, and the God of Thunder was driven into the ground so deep the impact was felt in every realm. When the light faded, Thor lay in a crater, Mjolnir beside him, laughing weakly. “Well fought,” he gasped. “Very well fought.”
Naruto dropped out of his mode and helped Thor up. “You’re the strongest guy I’ve fought in a long time,” Naruto said. Thor clapped him on the back so hard he nearly fell over. “And you have earned another plate of boar!” They feasted until dawn, and Naruto ate four more plates. Thor was deeply impressed.
