The Arena
Wanda Maximoff felt a cursed presence leaking into her reality, a rot so ancient it made her skin crawl, and followed it to an abandoned town where a man with four eyes and black markings sat on a broken shrine, grinning. Sukuna looked at the red-cloaked witch and laughed. “A sorceress from another world. How delightful.”
Wanda did not answer. She felt the curse energy rolling off him, dark and endless, and decided she had no interest in talking. Her hands glowed red. Sukuna’s grin grew wider. “Oh, you want to play. Good.”
He raised one hand casually and cut the shrine behind him in half, just to show her he could.
Round One
Sukuna attacked with Dismantle, invisible slashes that cut through houses as if they were paper. Wanda raised a hex shield, but a cut slipped through and opened a long red line along her arm. She hissed, and Sukuna laughed, already sending a dozen more.
Wanda answered with chaos magic, red energy that warped the town around them. Walls folded. Streets bent. Lightning came down from nowhere. Sukuna found himself walking on the ceiling of a house that had not existed a second earlier. He laughed again, but he was paying attention now.
He was faster and he was used to killing. She was stronger than she looked, and much, much stranger.
The Turn
“Domain Expansion,” Sukuna said, forming a sign with his hands. “Malevolent Shrine.” A terrible shrine of skulls rose in the centre of the town, and every surface within it began to cut. Thousands of invisible blades shredded everything in a two hundred metre radius. Wanda’s shields cracked. Her cloak shredded. Blood ran down her face.
She sank to her knees inside the domain, gasping, and Sukuna stepped forward to watch her die. But Wanda was not trying to survive the domain. She was looking at it, understanding it, the way she understands everything she wants to break.
Her eyes went red. And the shrine began to change.
The Finish
Chaos magic does not block. It rewrites. The skulls became flowers. The blades became petals, falling harmlessly around her. Sukuna’s domain, a technique he had perfected over a thousand years, turned into a garden in front of his eyes, and he stared at it in genuine disbelief.
Then Wanda stood, and she was angry. She raised her hands and rewrote Sukuna’s cursed energy itself, unknotting it like thread, turning a thousand years of curses into nothing. He screamed and attacked, but his slashes had become warm wind, and his fire would not light.
Wanda drove him to his knees with a single gesture and held him there, powerless. “You enjoy suffering,” she said. “I have seen enough of it.” She sealed him in a shard of red crystal, and sent it back across the dimensions with a note for the jujutsu sorcerers: keep this one locked away.
